delpart - tell the kernel to forget about a partition

SYNOPSIS         top

       delpart device partition

DESCRIPTION         top

delpart asks the Linux kernel to forget about the specified

simple wrapper around the "del partition" ioctl.

This command doesn't manipulate partitions on a block device.
